Deanna supports OS Strategies’ core operations through policy research, in-depth issue analysis, enterprise-level operational functions, and long-term strategic projects that underpin the firm’s advocacy work.
Her career began in education and academia. She started as a classroom teacher in Washington, DC Public Schools before earning a doctorate in education from the George Washington University.
After completing her degree, Deanna remained at GWU, where she directed a master’s program for several years before transitioning to a clinical faculty role Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
While at GWU, Deanna developed a strong interest in public policy and advocacy after successfully lobbying the Washington, DC Council to establish and fund a new teacher preparation grant program that she designed to align with the university’s institutional strengths.
Deanna has been a partner with OS Strategies since 2023.
